CULTURE FOR CHANGE: Makers Doing Good In L.A.
What does it mean to be an activist in today's L.A.?
For many, it means using cultural production as a means of achieving change. They use their food or books or art to send a message, to inspire, to nourish. They promote positivity through passion.
Within L.A.'s vibrant arts, literary and wellness communities, there exists an impressive number of small-scale movers and shakers working to better their surroundings. This month, Neon Tommy is telling their stories and exploring ideas of activism in the arts. We hope to paint a well-rounded picture of L.A.'s "culture for change."
