No one could have ever guessed that Gerald Gillum, better known by his stage name G-Eazy, once described his younger self as one who “didn’t have any game” and was “real awkward,” simultaneously as a bra was thrown to him on stage.

The timing could not be any better with the annual Grammy Awards coming up this Sunday, as the City of Angels was extra thirsty for some good music with even better company.

The endless line wrapped around the entire block and beyond of Wilshire Blvd., hours before doors promptly opened at 7. At the first of his two sold out shows at The Wiltern, boys in snapbacks and trendy teeny boppers clad in Brandy Melville and body-con dresses alike quickly danced into the packed venue.

Opening acts included artists Kool John, Jay Ant (who had the crowd riled up when serenading a fan on stage and kissing her), Kehlani, and DJ E-Man, who pumped up the crowd each with a 20 minute set.

By 9 pm, some of the older fan-base grew restless, while the younger girls were having the time of their lives partying the night away on a Tuesday.

Several minutes after some thought they couldn’t wait any longer, at 10:09 pm, a G-Eazy look alike finally creeped out of the red curtains to ensure the audience the anticipation will soon be well worth it, and even states that “[G-Eazy’s] about to be one of the biggest artists in the world.” The crowd’s response was unanimous.

The curtains opened, revealing a timer of 1 minute with a drummer on the left and a DJ to the right, who did a phenomenal job of keeping the crowd entertained in G-Eazy’s absence. As the numbers went down second by second, recordings of G-Eazy’s charming laughter echoed throughout the theater, sending chills up and down everyone's body. As the countdown reached 10, every person in the audience chanted along, and everyone's passion for concert-going is immediately justified. Amidst the screaming fans and flickering blue lights, all the aggravation of waiting and feelings of claustrophobia were forgotten as every person was taken to a whole another place. The G-Eazy hype is real.

Starting off with "Downtown Love," G-Eazy surprises us with a fashion statement: black on black on black from his hat to sunglasses to leather pants with several zippers at the knee. Second song in, G-Eazy ditches his hat and suave peacoat to reveal his signature look: lined-up jelled hair style, and black tee for a fresh and clean appearance.

Although most of his set consisted of songs from his debut album "These Things Happen" (2014), he made sure to bring back the “OG” jams like "Runaround Sue" and "Monica Lewinsky."

As promised, the show had many surprises in store, including guests like Casey Veggies and charting stars like Tinashe and Big Sean, but what really got the crowd going was when G-Eazy brought out his girlfriend Devon Baldwin, who also sings on one of his biggest hits, "Take Me Down." The chemistry on stage was inescapable and the same thought was in all the single ladies' minds: #relationshipgoals.

The Oakland native never failed to represent the Bay Area, but also showed a lot of love to LA with consistent compliments such as “LA has some of the baddest chicks in the universe.” Not only was his talent evident, but his charm and ability to swoon his fans as well.

What seemed to be the most genuine part of the night was when G-Eazy couldn’t help but say, “This sh*t feels amazing, man... I feel better than I’ve ever felt,” then cleverly and smoothly transitioned into song. His endless smiling exuded happiness and gratitude.

From casually singing with a bra on his mic stand to his alluring dance moves, G-Eazy truly is a "Lady Killer." The entire show was basically one big party, evident when G-Eazy himself drank from his red solo cup and asked the audience if anyone was getting turnt up! The suspicious smoke in the air added to the festive atmosphere, and if you're one of the lucky ones at his second show tonight, you're promised an eventful night.
