Red Carpet At The ‘Young Hollywood’ Launch Party
On Thursday evening, actors, actresses, fashion icons and role models gathered in a swanky Beverly Hills home to celebrate the launch of photographer and stylist Claiborne Swanson Frank’s new portrait book, “Young Hollywood.”
This fashion-forward and visually stimulating book features the young, rising Hollywood starlets in today’s industry, donning outfits by Michael Kors. Swanson photographed sixty rising women in the industry, including Amber Heard, Imogen Poots, Liana Liberato, Cody Horn, Dakota Johnson and many more beauties. The portraits were framed in an old Hollywood concept to honor the classic and timeless style of the past. From vintage Michael Kors outfits to retro-glam hair and makeup, this volume of portraits is a clear homage to the old Hollywood style, but moreover, a fashion forward and inspiring tribute to the rising stars of modern Hollywood.
Swanson celebrated the completion and success of her book with celebrities such as Emmy Rossum, Zoe Kravitz, Alex Pettyfer, Julianne Hough, Hailee Steinfeld, Chord Overstreet, and Michael Kors, who hosted a beautiful dinner for the celebration of a fashion forward and inspiring book of youth in Hollywood.
The stars that graced this Beverly Hills event were fashion-forward, trendy and looking their best, just as expected. Many celebrities like Emmy Rossum and Lori Loughlin donned Michael Kors black ensembles.
Rossum had on a deep neck, form fitting dress that featured her slender body, as well as a smokey maroon eye popping shadow that accentuated her deep brown eyes. She describes her style as “classy, feminine, and sensual,” which she so elegantly pulled off this night. When asked about her favorite fashion trends, she said, “I like a full skirt on a woman, and a little mystery, not everything needs to be so tight. I love something romantic, pretty, and feminine.” As a singer, actress, and fashionista, Emmy Rossum proved that she is nothing short of a rising Hollywood star.

Loughlin claims to be a huge fan of Michael Kors because, to be frank, his designs look good on her. She was had a black fitted dress with a sleek, white accent belt, both by Michael Kors. Though she is not featured in the book, she claims that if she had been, she would have chosen a concept around an old fashion icon like Grace Kelly in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Rear Window.”
One of the celebrities featured in “Young Hollywood” is Cody Horn. This model and actress is a rising starlet filled with potential and passion for the industry. With a flowy, floral print dress and a smokey eye, Horn shared her experience working with Claiborne Swanson Frank with her feature in the book: “[She was] really inspiring because she was eight and a half months pregnant. She’s an example that you can have it all. She’s the captain of the ship, she drove the whole shoot, and here she was literally about to pop. She was great to work with.”
Her experience on the shoot was really unique: “It was really funny because Claiborne and I got to the set with the same inspiration photos of Audrey Hepburn. It was hilarious, we came up with the same thing, so we clicked immediately and we both knew what we wanted and we implemented it. I don’t know if gets that good.” Overall, her experience shooting with Frank proved to be a terrific experience, and her photo within the book exudes with confidence, style, and class.

The man of the night, Michael Kors, appeared in his classic all-black ensemble, while also sporting aviator shades. Though Kors had a huge part in the launching of this project by clothing all the models and writing the foreword for the book, he claims that he’s mostly there “to be the tom-toms for Claiborne and her talent in really capturing all these fabulous young talents.” He applauds Frank’s ability to “focus her camera on these women of such great possibility and talent and wink at old Hollywood, but make it modern at the same time.” Kors says Claiborne is such a stylish photographer that all he had to do was send her some clothes and let her style the models herself.
