'Geometric glamour' is the phrase that Michael Kors is using to describe his Spring 2013 collection. This name fits perfectly, as the outfits are a mix of block colors and geometric patterns like stripes and checks.

Popular with Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Belstaff, stripes are still in vogue this season and have become a classic trend on the runways. Apart from clear cut geometric prints, the collection also featured a few prints which seemed lost among the structure of lines and squares. This was quickly followed by black gowns which were too plain. The last outfit was the one that created some hype about the collection, but there is ambuguity about the cause of the sizzle - was it the outfit or was it Karlie Kloss in the outfit?

Overall, the collection did not present anything new or exciting. One would expect at least one shimmery number or luxurious creation by Kors but he did not deliver this season. It seemed like a bad spin-off of a Ralph Lauren show.
