Apparently we need to talk about violence about women again this week

On Tuesday a pregnant woman, 25-year-old Farzana Parveen, was beaten to death by her own family in the streets of Pakistan. Outside of Lahore's grand high court building, a large crowd watched as Parveen's male family members attacked her with bricks and heavy objects following her brother’s attempt to shoot her.

Her family took it upon themselves to execute this “honuor killing” after Parveen chose to marry Muhammed Iqbal, instead of obeying her family’s desire for her to marry one of her own cousins.

According to data from the Honour Based Violence Awareness Network, approximately 1,000 women die each year at the hands of their families in such "honour killings."  That means that every day nearly three women die this way, how’s that for #EverydaySexism?
