Partiers in Santa Barbara were taking the term "rage" a little too far Saturday night.

Party goers posted wild photos during University of California, Santa Barbara’s Deltopia rager after thousands of partiers started rioting, and people got stabbed, The Daily Nexus, UCSB’s student-run paper reported Sunday morning.

The riot police used tear gas and to subdue the crowd that began rioting on Isla Vista streets.

"Getting tear gassed, brb," wrote one rioter who posted a photo to Twitter with a bandana over his face.

The tumult kicked off when a party-goer cracked an officer over the head with a backpack full of alcohol bottles.
