Second Body Found In Hudson River Boat Crash

36-year-old Brian Bond and 30-year-old Lindsey Stewart were set to be married at Good Shepherd Church in Pearl River in two weeks. On Friday night, the couple and four of their friends had dinner, and then took a boat ride on the Hudson River that was supposed to take them to Tarrytown.
However, the boat struck a barge at a construction area near the Tappan Zee Bridge, and Stewart and Lennon were both knocked off the boat. At 10:41 P.M., Bond called 911 from the boat, telling police that his soon-to-be wife and best man were both missing from the boat.
Many hours later, a body believed to be Stewart's was found an eighth of a mile from the riverbank.
The boat operator, 35-year-old Jojo K. John, was arrested for one count of first-degree vehicular manslaughter and three counts of second-degree vehicular assault. That Friday was a clear night, so investigators believe that there was another reason why the incident occurred.

"We have probably cause to believe that he operated the boat while intoxicated," said Robert Van Cura, the undersheriff of the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Van Cura also added that John was not the registered owner of the boat either. John, Bond and the two other people who were not thrown off the boat all suffered head injuries and were immediately taken to local hospitals.
