Christopher Dorner alleged Irvine killer and LAPD shooter via Facebook

The women were delivering newspapers in Torrance when the blue pickup truck they were riding in came under fire from police. One woman was shot in the hand and the other was shot in the back, according to a witness. The women, whose names have not been released, were taken to a local hospital.

The officers involved in the shooting were on protective detail for a person mention in Dorner's manifesto. The officers believed the women's car to be Dorner's. A second shooting took place in Torrance at 5:45 a.m. when another vehicle was thought to be the suspect's. No injuries were reported from the second shooting. Neither of the vehicles have any connection to the former officer. 

In addition to being wanted in connection to the recent murders of a couple in Irvine, Dorner is believed to be responsible forThursday's shooting of three police officers. One officer was killed.

The suspect posted a manifesto on his Facebook page, which included threats to harm police officials and their families. Two police detectives were guarding one of the people mentioned in Dorner's manifesto when the first shooting took place at 1:30 a.m. in Corona.

One officer sustained a head injury after he was grazed by a bullet. Another shooting occurred a short time later in Riverside. One officer was killed and the other was seriously wounded. The Riverside officers were on patrol when they were allegedly ambushed by the suspect. 

Dorner's manifesto details plans to seek revenge on Randy Quan, the father of Monica Quan who was shot and killed Sunday in Irvine along with her fiance, USC security officer Keith Lawrence. "I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I’m terminating yours," Dorner wrote.

Randy Quan is a retired LAPD officer who represented Dorner in a 2008 hearing. Dorner was accused of making false statements about another officer. Dorner pleaded innocent, but was fired from the LAPD in 2009.

The 33-year-old suspect is considered "armed and extremely dangerous," according to authorities. Police believe he is driving a blue or gray Nissan Titan with the California license plate 8D83987 or 7X09131. Dorner is described as a 6 foot, 270 pound black male with black hair and brown eyes. 

Police Commander Andrew Smith said, "We're asking our officers to be extraordinarily cautious just as we're asking the public to be extraordinarily cautious with this guy. He's already demonstrated he has a propensity for shooting innocent people. We can't provide a lot of information now because we're trying to capture him. We don't know where he is. We're looking for the public's help to locate this guy. Anybody who sees him or believes they see him or his vehicle should call 911."
