The Grammy Awards tend to be a sort of breather when it comes to red carpet fashion. The general attire is not quite as formal as the Golden Globes or the Oscars. There may be less sartorial pressure, but the stars still aim to look their best while still keeping to their personal style. Here are the best dressed of the 2013 Grammy Awards red carpet:

Rihanna

The typically edgy Rihanna made a dramatic return to her "good girl" look with a flowing silk chiffon red dress with sheer paneling. Rihanna's dress was custom-designed for her by Azzedine Alaia. She completed the look with long and light glamorous curls.

Frank Ocean

25-year old Grammy nominee Frank Ocean stayed true to his personal style in a monochromatic fashion, sporting navy from head to toe. The rapper wore a Dior Homme jacket, shirt, pants, and Common Objects shoes.

Alexa Chung

A consistent style icon, Alexa Chung donned a very spring-like outfit in a yellow sundress by RED Valentino and ankle-strap embellished heels. Chung is known for dressing in classic, preppy styles, and stayed true to her personal style in this knee-length frock.

Taylor Swift

As someone who hasn't exactly been meeting the mark for red carpet looks lately, country singer Taylor Swift was spot on with a white Grecian-inspired cutout dress with silver detailing by J Mendel. She kept her dress the main focus with her hair in a simple up-do.

Carrie Underwood

Country singer Carrie Underwood stayed consistent with her style in a simple black strapless dress with baroque detailing by Roberto Cavalli. She contrasted her dress with curled blonde locks and a diamond necklace.

Kelly Osbourne

This British fashion personality has been consistent with all fashion related events. For this year's Grammy awards, Kelly Osbourne showed off her toned figure with a long and sleek black cutout gown by Paule Ka. She kept her look simple, pairing it with that signature lavender hair.

Natasha Bedingfield

British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield made a dramatic entrance to the Grammys with her red hot cutout dress by EMERSON by Jackie Fraser-Swan. She kept her hair classic with soft waves.

Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco strayed away from the traditional red carpet dress, opting for leather pants and an Amen gold-sequined blazer with beading details. She kept her edgy-chic look consistent by wearing her hair with natural looking waves.
