Ten drive-through locations across the county will be open for people to register to vote from 8:00 a.m. Monday to midnight, as the L.A. County Registrar of Voters tries to rein in about 1.5 million eligible voters who haven't yet registered.

Monday marks the final day in California that U.S. citizens age 18 or older—and not in prison or on parole for a felony—may sign up to receive a ballot for the Nov. 2 midterm election. The election will determine who takes over as the next governor of California, as well as if the state will receive a new face in the U.S. Senate.

Partners in the county's effort include the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles County, the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational Fund (NALEO) and Voto Latino.

Unregistered voters may either visit one of the in-person locations or download a form here and mail it in. Forms are also available at libraries, fire stations, post offices and city clerks' offices. Mail-in forms must have a Monday postmark.

The drive-through locations are: the DMV offices in Bell Gardens, Compton, Lincoln Park, Pasadena, San Pedro and West Covina; the City Halls of Glendale, Pomona and West Hollywood; and the offices of El Centro Del Pueblo in Echo Park and the NALEO in Downtown Los Angeles.
