Brown V. Whitman: Voter Enthusiasm Is Lagging

Meg Whitman continues to spend millions, and it’s starting to rub off on the Democrats. Some strategists say the state Democratic party has been transferring money to the Brown campaign to help it keep pace – money that would normally be used for get-out-the-vote efforts. The party says that it raised more money this year and, as such, can give more to Brown, but some are worried.

In San Benito County, where voter patterns have matched the statewide sentiment for 16 years, residents are calling the race “a sideshow.” LAT
