USC is a beautiful campus full of beautiful people with amazing style. It's easy to find a Tumblr-perfect or Insta-worthy outfit walking down McCarthy Quad, and the best part about it is the rarirty of finding two people with identical style. Perhaps USC’s diverse student body is to thank: New York City edge, easy-going California hippie, and Parisian chic are just parts of the eclectic mix of fashion sense we have swirling around our campus. And so, intrigued and slightly intimidated, I decided to stop, photograph, and interview some of the most stylish people I came across on campus. Just as suspected, everyone’s unique style comes from an equally unique background of inspiration.

When I first saw Lucie Shelley’s style, I was immediately drawn to it because it reminded me of being back home in NYC. Her style has the city edge with the ripped jeans, signature Adidas, and a knit crop top. Perhaps, however, the most intriguing part was the subtle California flair that made its way into her look. The flash sunglasses, blonde highlights, and gold-drop necklace screamed Los Angeles. Turns out Shelley hails from Washington D.C. and she was able to seamlessly incorporate the East Coast style she had all of her life into her new West Coast experience.

“I feel like my high school tried to sand out my edges, so now that I am in college I am experimenting with edgier styles”
