Lace

Nothing screams Valentine's Day more than a touch of lace. The look, both sexy and girly pops against just about anything, from jeans to a form-fitting midi-skirt. Lace can be just what you need to take your outfit to the next level. This lace Alberta Ferretti top combines the sass of a lace look with a sweet red color that screams Valentine's Day. The top has a round neckline with thicker lace on both the bottom and the sleeves. A white layer of paneling keeps the top classy, allowing you to create that barely-there illusion, while still not showing too much. If a lace top isn't your thing, you can always look for lace-detailing or a cute pair of lace shorts to try this trend.

Lips

When love is in the air, it shows. Love-inspired prints are cute enough to be worn both on and outside of the holiday. Outside of the ever-popular heart print, lips are the next hottest thing in Valentine's Day wear. This Giles Black Brocade Lips Shirt showcases a small pale pink lip print up top while the waist fans out to a peplum shape that can compliment just about any bottom. The shirt, black all over, makes it perfect for a night out or date when worn with a pair of cuffed jeans and booties.

If this look isn't the bold Valentine's statement you were looking to make, you can take the look up a notch with this pop art-inspired Philipp Plein "Shoot The Moon" skirt. The white circle skirt has comic book-themed big red lips and thought bubbles displaying the designer's name. You'd be sure to stand out in this look. The skirt would pair well with a plain white top, red pumps and a black blazer for night or a basic tee and your favorite sneakers for daytime.

Hearts

If you're looking for a more classic Valentine's Day ensemble, but aren't willing to invest in a head-to-toe look, the presence of hearts, whether on your ensemble or your accessories, is enough to announce that the holiday has arrived. These Roger Vivier Gommette Love Patent ballerina flats are a cute way to dress for the occasion. The off-white patent leather flats feature buckle-detailing with a heart print on one flat and "LOVE" printed on the other. This whimsical piece can be worn with any of the above-mentioned Valentine's looks or with your favorite denim as an accessory that pops. If you don't want to wear your heart this Valentine's Day, you can always carry it. Treat yourself with this Christian Louboutin Sweety Charity Valentine Bag. Featuring a red heart in the middle, with a gold bow and gold chainlink strap, this black crossbody bag is perfect for a fun night out with the girls.

If Valnetine's Day isn't your thiing, don't fret, you can take these love-inspired looks past the holiday as a sweet addition to your winter wardrobe.
