NYFW Fall 2015: Calvin Klein Review

From the music to the metal detailing, Calvin Klein's Fall 2015 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is a tasteful nod to rock star Lou Reed. 

The late music artist would have thoroughly enjoyed seeing models strut down the runway to his tune in luxurious hues and patchwork embellishments.

Most of the 38 pieces were in black or dark brown, though some pops of color - in terracotta, burgundy, off-white, or soft pink - livened up the runway.

The daring silhouettes were not form-flattering. The designers clearly wanted to play with proportions for this collection.

The 1970s aura is especially evident in the leather outerwear - definitely tailored with fall and winter in New York in mind - and dresses.

The models were allowed plain hair - straightened, free-flowing - as to draw the most attention possible to the outfits. Several donned accessories, most did not.
