In the past, all the winners of "Best New Artist" were usually the artist who dominated the radio and generated the most buzz worldwide.

Last year's award went to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and 2013's award went to Fun.

This year, Sam Smith, along with indie darlings Haim and Bastille, is up for the award.

As much as it would be great to see the indie kids take the award, there is no doubt that this is Sam's year. His songs, his voice and his likeability makes him so deserving of this coveted Grammy.
