San Diego Sheriff’s department confirmed Sunday that 3-week-old Eliza Delcruz has been found dead in a San Diego County dumpster. The killer, who kidnapped Eliza after shooting her parents and uncle in Long Beach on Saturday, remains at large.

Eliza was found in a plastic bag along with other garbage in a dumpster near a freeway not far from the Mexican border, Los Angeles Times reported. Her mother and uncle remain in critical but stable condition at area hospitals, but her father has been treated and released. Though the victims do not know much about the suspect, Long Beach police officials say that detectives do not believe it was a random act of violence. The San Diego Sheriff’s department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Those with information may also call the Long Beach Police Department Communications Center at (562) 435-6711. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may call  (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or text TIPLA plus the tip to 274637 or visit www.LACrimeStoppers.org.
