GOP Aide Resigns After Telling Obama Daughters To 'Show A Little Class'

Elizabeth Lauten, an aide to Tennessee Rep. Stephen Fincher, told NBC News on Monday her resignation is 'in the works.' The announcement came after Lauten criticized Malia and Sasha Obama in a now-deleted Facebook post about their conduct during the turkey pardoning ceremony at the White House.

The post, which told the girls they could have "shown a little class," and to "dress like [they] deserve respect, not a spot at the bar" went viral over the weekend. Lauten has since apologized, stating that she judged the Obama daughters in a way she "never would have wanted to be judged [herself] as a teenager."
