The 2014 American Music Awards is this Sunday and you better believe we’re excited. Performers will include 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Mary J. Blige, Imagine Dragons, Charli XCX, Sam Smith and more.

Iggy Azalea and Lorde, who will both perform this weekend, just so happen to be nominated for “Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock” along with artist Katy Perry.

The fact that the AMAs are based on online fan voting makes this prediction of who will win somewhat difficult. Katy Perry has been at the “top” for the longest, Lorde has a lot of younger fans and Iggy has been producing top singles al year. So, that being said, who do we think will take home this award? Our vote goes to Iggy.

Also nominated for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Favorite Artist- Rap/Hip-Hop, and Favorite Album- Rap/Hip-Hop, Iggy Azalea fits the needs of multiple awards. While it is nearly obvious that she will take home at least one Rap/Hip-Hop award, top singles like “Fancy,” “Problem,” and “Black Widow” prove that she fits the mainstream pop needs of online voters.

After all, she is the first artist since The Beatles to rank at numbers one and two simultaneously on the Billboard Top 100 chart. A win in this category would be less than surprising.

Tune in to the 2014 AMAs on ABC this Sunday at 8PM!
