Obama To Send 1,500 Troops To Iraq

Today, President Barack Obama announced that he will send 1,500 troops to Iraq to combat ISIL.

Obama has asked Congress for $5 billion to fund the fight. 

This announcement came following Obama's meeting with Congress today; however, some Congresspeople were not fans of Obama's recent announcement. 

“I would urge the president to reconsider his strategy and clearly explain how this additional funding supports a new direction. Such clarity is more likely to find swift congressional approval,” Republican Calif. Representative Buck McKeon said
