Kenyan Wins N.Y.C. Marathon And Earns Title

Wilson Kipsang of Kenya emerged as the winner of the New York City Marathon this morning. 

In an up close and personal race, Kipsang beat out second place winner Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia by seven seconds. This was Kipsang's first appearance in the N.Y.C. Marathon, and he not only won the race in 2 hours 10 minutes and 59 seconds, but captured the World Marathon Majors title.

In his victory, Kipsang became the first man to win the major marathons in New York, Berlin and London, according to race officials.
