First Solar Road Ready For Use

The Netherlands is the first country to have a solar road. 

According to CNN, the road is a 230-foot-long bike path in Krommenie. 

The energy created from the solar road will power traffic lights and homes according to SolaRoad, the company that developed the route. 

It will continue to be tested for another three years.
