It’s the final episode of “Play It Again, Dick”… For now, anyway.

The episode picks up where it left off last episode. Dick notices Madison is wearing a mask, which means it isn’t Madison—it’s Celeste Kane, Duncan’s mother and one of the richest ladies in Neptune.

She says she would’ve gotten away with it if it weren’t for Wallace shooting her. Dick, again, notices that Wallace is wearing a mask. He takes it off and Veronica rushes to him with excitement when she sees it’s Duncan Kane (but it isn’t Teddy Dunn). It’s Ryan Devlin, who played Mercer (a rapist in season three of “Veronica Mars”).

Ryan Devlin is getting interviewed, and he admits it’s strange that he who played a rapist was recast as Duncan Kane. His excitement is that he “just got to make out with Veronica Mars.”

Celeste Kane, still on the floor, tells them that they should call an ambulance for her, but they all stand around. Ryan Hansen’s dancer who is now playing Logan is staring at Veronica and Duncan making out. Dick notices that Celeste is wearing the glasses Weevil stole from him. He grabs them off her and wears them with pride.

And what happens next? Oh yeah, there’s still the dance number Ryan wanted for the show. It’s music video time. Ryan and some extras are dancing to T.I and Iggy Azalea’s “No Mediocre.” The dance is entertaining, but what’s most noticeable is that Dick is wearing his flask belt from the “Veronica Mars” movie, and his dancers are too!

The scene cuts to Ryan Hansen being back in the CW offices showing the president and other members what he accomplished. The president and executive vp have a private side conversation for a few moments and Ryan looks into the camera anxiously. They announce that they’ll pass on “Private Dick.” Ryan, all bumbed out, insists it’s because they told him to stray away from the idea of smart pills in episode one.

One week later, Ryan is being interviewed. In the background we see pictures from scenes with him and Madison in four computer screens.  He says that even though CW passed on “Private Dick,” it went global. We see the show in different languages.

The last few minutes of the finale are dedicated to another music video by everyone who participated in the series (with a short interruption for Ryan to pay for takeout).
