Time for episode seven of “Play It Again, Dick.”

The episode begins with an interview of Daran Norris (Clifford on “Veronica Mars”). He says he’s glad he could help out an old friend. The camera zooms out, and we see Ryan coaching Daran on what to say for the camera. Daran calls him a “fuzzy little prick,” and leaves.

The camera cuts to “Private Dick.” We see the lady Percy left behind a few episodes back. He seduces her, then goes to drinking alcohol like he did when he was with Madison during the last episode. His dead brother, Cassidy, shows up in the room again to catch up with Dick. Dick tells him he still wants to find his killer. Instead of Cassidy reminding him that he committed suicide, he tells him he heard about Keith Mars’ death. Dick believes Duncan Kane’s death from the first day of production was an accident, and is determined to find who murdered him. Cassidy advises him to asks friend for help since he’s stuck. Who’s the one person we can always rely on to solve a case? Yes, that’s right. Veronica Mars. She’s used to hearing “I need your help, Veronica.” Looking at some leftover tacos on a tray, Dick thinks he found a clue and says they’re tacos of death in Spanish.

The scene cuts back to Ryan being interviewed. He says he hired a Spanish coach for his short dialogues. Back to “Private Dick”:

Dick finds himself in a room with three Asian men. Is this the martial arts scene he wanted a couple episodes back? Two of the men leave the room. The one remaining throws a knife at Dick, and he catches it between his hands. Yep, it’s the martial arts scene. Dick and the man begin to fight with some clearly added sound effects of hand motions. The man says he fights to win, and blows some kind of powder in Dick’s face. After recovering, Dick asks him why he killed Duncan. He notices the man is wearing a face mask. When Dick pulls it off, he sees it’s Clarence Wiedman (Christopher B. Duncan), head of Kane Software’s security in “Veronica Mars.” He tells Dick that Veronica is probably already dead. After debating whether or not to punch him, Dick tells him he isn’t worth it, stands up from crouching and knocks him out.

The camera cuts to an interview with Christopher Duncan, who doesn’t even know who Ryan is. He claims he’s been in the business so long, that he does his work and collects a check. The interviewer reminds him that it’s a micro budget production. so no one is getting paid. Christopher takes off his microphone, drops it and leaves.

Going back to “Private Dick,” Veronica walks in to find Madison. Madison has Veronica at gun point when Dick comes rolling in (literally). It seems like Madison shoots, and Dick in slo-mo jumps in front of Veronica. They stare at each other wondering if anybody got shot. Dick says he thinks he’s okay. Then Madison begins to bleed. We see Wallace with a gun at hand. It was Wallace to the rescue. That’s the first.

The scene cuts to an interview with Percy Daggs III, and he says, “Do you know what time it is? It’s about mother f****** time.”
