Health Worker In Texas First In U.S. To Contract Ebola

A  health worker in Texas has contracted Ebola after treating a patient diagnosed with the disease. The patient died in a Dallas hospital last week.

This case, which is the first documented involving the contraction of Ebola, indicates a professional lapse that may have jeopardized hospital workers, said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC is currently evaluating the extent to which other hospital workers may have been exposed to the disease.
