Apple Announces New iPad Air 2 And iMac 5K Retina Display

At its most recent product event Thursday morning, Apple announced the new iPad Air 2 as “the world’s thinnest tablet”, as well as the new iPad mini 3.

The new iPad Air 2 includes an upgraded 8-megapixel camera, an A8X processor chip, and the introduction of Touch ID into the iPad family. 

Prices for the new models are listed at $399 for the iPad Mini 3, $499 for the iPad Air 2, and $2499 for the iMac and its 5K display.

Apple CEO Tim Cook also announced the upcoming release of the updated Apple iOS 8.1 Software—which includes Apple Pay—this Monday alongside the release of the new Mac OS X Yosemite software.
