Longtime celebrity couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, known for keeping a very low profile, welcomed a baby girl on Friday September 12. Us Weekly was only able to confirm the new baby on Tuesday, and no official confirmation from the couple has been released.

Avoiding red carpet appearances since February, “Hitch” star Mendes has kept a very low profile during her pregnancy. 

Earlier this year, Mendes addressed the pregnancy rumors on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” citing the rumors as “ridiculous.” 

After months of denial, it was confirmed in July that Mendes, 40, was pregnant. 

Now that their daughter has arrived, the couple, who starred in “The Place Beyond the Pines” together in 2012, won’t be able to keep everything a secret for long. 

While some Ryan Gosling fans are still crying over the announcement of Mendes’ pregnancy, others are surely betting on baby names  and imagining Gosling as a sexy new dad.
