Port of L.A. Dock Fire Sparks Air Quality Concern

Although the fire that destroyed a Port of Los Angeles dock in Wilmington is put under control, officials have alarmed civilians in the area about the potentially harzardous air quality from the smoke.

The fire was detected on Monday night, and fumes are still seen on Wednesday morning.

Concerining the movement of the hazardous air towards the school district, the authorities have closed two Wilmington-area schools--Saints Peter and Paul School and George De La Torre Junior Elementary School--for the day.
