India's Mangalyaan Space Probe Successfully Lands On Mars

Ten months after leaving Earth, India's Mangalyaan space probe successfully landed on Mars.

"The odds were stacked against us. Of 51 missions attempted in world only 21 have succeeded. We have prevailed," Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Now, the Mangalyaan will take photos of Mars while analyzing the planet and atmosphere.
