Kevin Ward Jr., was visibly angry after Stewart squeezed Ward's vehicle against a wall, sending the vehicle spinning out and ending the night for the Empire Super Sprints driver. Ward walked down the track to yell at Stewart after the caution flag was thrown, and was clipped by the 43-year-old NASCAR driver's car. Emergency responders transported the five-year pro to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
