Video Game Exhibition E3 Kicks Off

The popular video game exhibition, E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) began on Monday in the Los Angeles Convention Center with press conferences from tech giants Sony, Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft, according to GameSpot.

The first press conference was headed by Microsoft, announcing blockbuster titles such as Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Sunset Overdrive and Fable Legends.

EA was up next, announcing Mass Effect 4, the fourth instalment of the highly popular science-fiction series, as well as Dragon Age: Inquisition.

In their press conference, Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy’s The Division and Assassin’s Creed Unity, highlighting the game’s coop multiplayer function.

Finally, Sony rounded off the day by revealing that Grand Theft Auto V was headed to the PlayStation 4, and a trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. They also revealed three new projects: Project Morpheus, a virtual reality headset; PlayStation Now, an online game streaming service, and PlayStation TV, a streaming box akin to Amazon’s Fire TV.

E3 will run from Tuesday, June 10 until Thursday, June 12.
