After transferring hundreds of unaccompanied migrant children to Arizona earlier this month, Border control is once again looking to other states to help shoulder the burden of the latest immigration flood.

With tremendous overcrowding caused by an unprecedented influx of children and families, predominantly from Central America, Border Patrol is looking to California to help take some of the load off overcrowded, unsanitary Texas detainment centers.

Overwhelmed by the hundreds of families that they've caught illegally crossing the border, Texas officials plan on transporting the migrants from Texas's Rio Grande Border Patrol stations in Southern California, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection

“The movement will allow the U.S. Border Patrol in less congested areas to assist in processing family units from South Texas where we are seeing an influx of migrants crossing the border,” said Michael Friel, a spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in a statement.

After a series of interviews, immigration officers will begin trying to determine which families should be expelled form the U.S. immediately, and which families have a real need to remain in the U.S. for protection and asylum.
