Facebook Offers Users Personalized Ads

Facebook will offer its customers interest-based advertising customizing the content based on the users’ browsing history, the company announced today.

The new app will allow users to adjust ads they want to see on their Facebook page.

The social network will place ads based on the users’ web search history from desktop or mobile devices. The system will use the users’ likes and interests listed on their profile page.

"When we ask people about our ads, one of the top things they tell us is that they want to see ads that are more relevant to their interests," Facebook said in a blog. 

The feature is currently available to the U.S. users only, and the company said it works hard to expand it globally.
