British actor Charlie Cox will take on the role of Daredevil (@Moviefone/Twitter).

Cox is set to play Matt Murdoch, the blind, crime-fighting superhero Daredevil in the upcoming 13-episode series for the streaming service. 

"Daredevil" will be the first of a series of Marvel superheroes acquired by Netflix, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The four will then join together for the miniseries, "The Defenders."

Marvel and Netflix have yet to comment on the casting decision that was reported by Latino Review.
