With Game of Thrones season four starting this Monday night, the clock is ticking to plan your Westeros-themed screening of the long-awaited premiere. And what better way to celebrate than with drinks inspired by your favorite characters? From kick-ass Arya to the mother of dragons, we're serving up five drink suggestions to keep your spirits high through the night.

ARYA STARK: WICKED SHIRLEY TEMPLE

It's hard not to love Arya and her round-the-clock bad assery. After witnessing her family's murder and killing a man, season four promises an even more twisted path for Arya. That said, a darker, kicked-up Shirley Temple seems a fitting way to represent this princess-gone-assassin.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. blackberry liqueur
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Ginger ale
  • Blackberries (for garnish, optional)

Stir the gin, blackbery liqueur, and lemon juice with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled glass with ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with blackberries.

JON SNOW: FROSTBITE

The last time we saw everyone's favorite bastard, he had just betrayed the wildings and broken away from the Wall. Now that he's a free agent, what does season four have in store for Jon Snow? We can't say yet, but toast to Jon's good ol' days in the Night's Watch with this frosty cocktail (and anyway, winter is still coming).

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. tequila
  • 1/2 oz. white crème de cacao
  • 1/2 oz. blue curaçao
  • 1/2 oz. cream

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled glass.

TYRION LANNISTER: THE VODKA IMPLET

Clever as anything and always towing the line between good and devious, Tyrion Lannister always has something up his sleeve. But after being backed into a corner by Cersei and Joffrey in season three, what's next for the unlikely hero? Based on the classic key-lime gimlet, this vodka concoction is sure to inspire some ideas.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • Lime slices (for garnish, optional)

Put ingredients with ice into a cocktail shaker and shake well. Serve in a glass with ice and garnish with a slice of lime.

DAENERYS TARGARYEN: DRAGON'S BLOOD PUNCH

The mother of dragon's had gotten her hands on an invincible army by the end of last season, so no doubt there's more conquering to be done by this exiled queen. In the spirit of Daenerys' grand takeover, celebrate with a whole vat of punch -- perfect for sharing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 750 ml. bottle of vodka
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 6 cups red fruit punch
  • 6 cups apple juice
  • 6 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 litres ginger ale

To make sure all ingredients are chilled, stick them in the fridge the night before. An hour before serving, combine everything in a punch bowl; stir and add ice. If you have a large block it will melt more slowly and consequently, and will water down your drinks less.

THE RED WEDDING: HOT SPICED WINE

The Red Wedding isn't a character per se but who could forget the most pivotal event of season three? Betrayal, dying Starks, and a massacre over wine -- it was undoubtedly a moment to remember, and one that definitely changed the landscape of our ever-changing cast of characters. To commemorate the biggest twist of the last episode, whip up some mulled wine and drink like a doomed wedding guest.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle cheap red wine (sweet wine works better than dry wine dry; cabernet works well)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp. each of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, clove and nutmeg
  • Handful each of dried cherries, raisins, and sliced almonds

Combine wine and dried fruits/nuts in a pot; heat until simmering. Taste for sweetness and add honey to taste, continue combining the ingredients. Take off heat and add spices while stirring occasionally. Let mixture sit and spices/dried ingredients settle to the bottom of the pot. You might also consider using a strainer to make the process more efficient. Use a ladle to serve drinks into mugs or other heat-safe cups.
