That's probably what you were asking yourself at some point Tuesday.

David Moyes was a big important soccer manager, and he has been sacked.

Depsite his six-year contract, Manchester United, the premier soccer team in Old Trafford, fired Moyes.

Manchester United broke the news on its website.

The New York Times reported things weren’t going well from the start, when only two months in Moyes was complaining publicly about the rough lineup of teams his team was slotted against.

CBS Sports also reported that a 2-0 loss over the weekend likely was the kiss of death.

Despite being deemed, "the chosen one," the pervading thought was he wasn't going to last very long anyway.
