One "Bachelorette" contestant was severely injured after a paragliding accident last Sunday. According to Us Weekly, he passed away on Wednesday.

Eric Hill was left in a coma after his parachute collapsed during a paragliding adventure with his friend in Utah, according to ABC News. Apparently, at the point of his accident, Hill had already been eliminated from the reality TV show. He was found unconscious 100 to 150 feet up on a mountain, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Unified Fire Authority battalion chief Brian Anderton told KUTV that after the parachute collapsed, Hill was swung into the mountainside with high velocity, which eventually was enough to cause trauma.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hill was filming a documentary titled "The Global Odyssey," which shows Hill trying to visit all 195 U.N. recognized countries in a short time. He took time off of his project to star in ABC's reality show.

Currently, it is unclear how ABC will address his death once "The Bachelorette," featuring Andi Dorfman, airs on May 19th.
