Ukrainian soldiers confronted Russian troops on Tuesday, requesting to return to their occupied airbase in Crimea.

Col. Yuliy Mamchuk, commander of the Ukrainian military camp, and one of Mamchuk’s fellows carried a flag and led the march with unarmed soldiers.  

The Russian forces fired into the air, warning Ukraine soldiers not to move any further.

No one was injured in the standoff. The Ukrainian soldiers later returned to their barrier and the Ukrainian airbase still remains under Russian control.
