Los Angeles debatably has the best Koreatown in the United States, and it is because of this that it is no surprise that the city of Los Angeles will be presenting its residents with KTOWN Night Market. This two-day event aims to emulate traditional night markets that have become popular in Asia.

This free event will be held at Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools on Friday, April 18 from 4 p.m. to midnight and Saturday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to midnight.

There will be more than 100 multi-ethnic food and merchandise vendors participating in this event. The food truck lineup was specially curated by Seoul Sausage Company, the season three winners of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race. KTOWN Night Market will also host Yelp’s KTOWN Bar Crawl, K-pop workshops, art exhibits and live entertainment, with performers such as Dumbfoundead

The food trucks participating in the event include: Grill ‘Em All, The Lime Truck, Seoul Sausage Company, Belly Bombz, Bowled & Beautiful, Cool Haus, East LA Tacos, Fluff Ice, India Jones Chow Truck, Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, and White Rabbit.

To spice things up, KTOWN Night Market created The Last Truck Contest, where trucks could fill out an application to win the last available spot in KTOWN Night Market’s Food Truck Alley.

Many trucks applied for this opportunity, but on Monday, KTOWN Night Market announced the four food truck finalists: Carb & Nation, Currywurst Truck Los Angeles, Slanging Corea, and Waffles de Liege

“The finalists were selected from the food truck vendors that had shown interest in participating in KTOWN Night Market, but were not included in Seoul Sausage's curated lineup. All of the selected food trucks had a quality, innovative menu selection that would add to the event's food offerings,” said Ben Kang, a KTOWN Night Market representative. “You may have noticed that a few of the trucks are more established than others. This contest is a chance for them not only to participate in the event, but also to introduce them to new fans and increase their visibility.”

These four finalists will now compete in KTOWN Night Market’s The Last Food Truck Contest via Facebook, where fans can vote for their favorite truck once per day. The trucks with the most votes by the end of April 6 will win the last spot in KTOWN Night Market’s Food Truck Alley.
