4.4 Earthquake Hits Los Angeles

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 4.4 shallow earthquake at 6:25 a.m. Monday morning. The tremor was at a depth of five miles and was initially estimated to be at 4.7 magnitude.

The epicenter was approximately six miles north-northwest of Westwood and 15 miles west-northwest of the downtown area. No immediate damage has been reported.
