House Speaker John Boehner says GOP leaders will not vote attach conditions to raising the debt limit.
The House will vote to raise the government's debt limit with no strings attached, according to House Speaker John Boehner.

GOP leaders were originally expected to only agree to the borrowing limit increase under the condition of reversing the cut to military pensions.

But on Tuesday, Boehner said, "We'll let [President Obama's] party give him the debt ceiling increase that he wants."

The vote is expected later Tuesday; it was moved a day earlier from its planned time on Wednesday in anticipation of another looming East Coast snowstorm.

Although lawmakers expect the vote to be close, the bill is likely to pass if every Democrat votes in favor.
