Vintage Fashion Expo Coming To L.A. Convention Center

More than 50 vintage dealers will congregate at the convention center's Petree Hall to sell their unique clothing and jewelry. Fashion enthusiasts will be able to browse styles from the late 1800s to the late 1900s, including vintage couture and period pieces.
Sneak peeks on the expo's official Facebook and Twitter show just a few examples of the massive collection: a sequined 1920s flapper dress, a 1960s Pucci silk blouse and a 1970s Stavropoulos layered chiffon caftan, just to name a few. Fashionistas will also be able to find vintage Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and other high-end brands among the buys.
Some of the biggest exhibitors showing at the Vintage Fashion Expo are The Way We Wore, Vintage Apparel by Ardis, Chanel 'n Chandeliers, Marie Monsod, Regeneration Vintage, and Clever Vintage. Such big names in vintage attract well-known designers and celebs like Dita Von Teese, Marisa Tomei, Liz Goldwyn, Lisa Eisner and Jill Stuart to the expo.
Shoppers may also find themselves running into the likes of vintage clothing guru Doris Raymond. Raymond's famous The Way We Wore boutique in Beverly Hills is a favorite among movie costume designers and celebrity stylists like Jennifer Rade and George Kotsiopoulis. Raymond is also the star of a new series on the Smithsonian Channel, L.A. Frock Stars. The show, premiering March 7, follows Raymond and her team as they assist high-profile clients in search of a perfect look from the past.
