Just three days after the Purdue University shooting, a shooting occured on the South Carolina State University campus. A student was shot outside the Andrew Hugine dorms Friday afternoon.

The university is currently on lockdown and officials say they have begun searching for the four suspects involved in this shooting.

“The students are safe. The perimeter of the campus has been secured,” university police chief Menard Clarkson said in a press conference shortly after the shooting.
