Zimmerman was released from John E. Polk Correctional Facility Tuesday afternoon after allegations that he pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend during an argument Monday.

Although the persecutor revealed new allegations against Zimmerman to argue for a higher bail of $50,000 they weren't reflected in the preliminary charges. Originally Zimmerman's bail was set $4,900 but the choking allegation was cited by Judge Schott with the increase.
