Harmony Elementary School is still on lockdown at noon Tuesday after a shooting suspect robbed a nearby recycling center, police officials said.

Three other schools — Miller Elementary, Wadsworth Elementary and Wanda Mikes Primary Center — were also on lockdown, but they have since been lifted.

The suspect remains at large, according to police officials.

The owner of Rodriguez Recycling, who requested to be unnamed, said the suspect entered his business on the 4300 block around 8 a.m. and shot an employee in the leg after stealing laptops and around $2,000.

Joseph Tarber, a store worker who knew the employee shot, said the shooter wore a sweatsuit and looked like he was headed to a nearby park.

"It was like a set up, he knew who he was waiting for," Tarber said.

Several blocks around the intersection of 41st Street and Avalon Boulevard are blocked off by police as they search for the shooter.
