A new social media campaign has been started in protest against Saudi Arabian laws to prevent women from driving.

One of the reasons to back up the law came from a Saudi Cleric believing that driving could damage the woman’s ovaries.  Even women of the country are also against the protests, claiming arrogant western influences that go against tradition.

Regardless of these thoughts and comments, many women and even some private political backers have publicly promoted videos of themselves driving on youtube.

There has been little resistance to these protests, a leap forward compared to any previous attempts tat often ended with arrests and lost jobs.

Thousands of people have contributed to online petitions to lift the ban, as well as many local media outlets agreeing that times are changing, and so should the values.
