One of the runway's favorite supermodels is transitioning to a different part of the fashion industry. Instead of retirement, British model Kate Moss is taking her post-modeling life to the magazine industry as she joins British Vogue as contributing fashion editor.

British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman said, "I am absolutely delighted that Kate is going to work with us in this new role. Her undoubtedly brilliant sense of style, depth of fashion knowledge, and understanding of what makes a wonderful image will be exciting to see used in the pages of British Vogue. I am really looking forward to working with her on ideas."

Moss's first shoot is set to be published in Spring 2014.

As a woman who has always been in front of the camera, it will definitely be interesting to see her take on the setup of the glossy magazine from behind the scenes.

The fashion industry is buzzing with the news of Moss joining the fashion team of stylists, especially because it's more than just a guest spot. Moss is not just a woman with impeccable fashion taste, she's an industry veteran who's proven her worth through modeling and designing.

However, everyone is anxious to see how her background as a model and designer will play out when she's an editor for the glossy pages. The questions of what sort of style will she bring to the magazine, which designers will she promote, and which models she will choose are all floating around before we finally see her first shoot in the pages. There is also the question of whether or not her designs for Topshop will be promoted as well.

Truly a Vogue woman, the model has been on 33 British Vogue covers since her first in March 1993, along with numerous shoots inside the cover. It's only natural that she makes the next step of her career to the other side of the creative experience.

From the covers to the offices, Kate Moss will surely bring all that she has to the world of British Vogue.
