Escaped Florida Convicts Back In Custody

Both prisoners had already been sentenced to life, but were able to walk free days before registering into the Law Enforcement Department by providing paperwork incorrectly sentencing them to a shorter term of 15 years.
Because they did register as they were legally entitled to, it was much harder to notice that the sentence had been altered. The two were discovered after the families of their victims were notified of the release, which is an automatic process through a computer voice generated phone call.
The Law Enforcement Department and Corrections Facilities have been looking into where the error originally stemmed from, but have come up short so far. Currents leads say that it is likely the signature of a judge that is easily accessible had been copied and placed on to the documents to give them a pseudo legal proof of their shortened sentence.
