Ten car bombs targeted at the Iraqi capital went off Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. killing 41 people and injuring 100 others.

According to the New York Times, the bombs all went off within 40 minutes of each other.  A majority of the bombs were placed at public markets and bus stations.

A bomb killed 5 people and 12 others in Huriya, a neighborhood in Baghdad when it exploded in a parked car near a market.

A few miles away, in a public market in southern Baghdad, another car bomb killed 6 people and wounded 13 others after it exploded.

The districts of Saba al-Bor, Mashtal, Ur, Bayaa, Baladiyat, and Nahrawan were also targets of the string of bombings.
