Some actors prefer television to film or vise-versa. However, a few actors have even tried their way in music videos. Appearances range from just a few seconds, to even lip-syncing the whole video.

Here are the top 13 notable cameos:

1. Scarlett Johansson in Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around...Comes Around”

We all remember the nine-minute video that premiered in 2007 as part of Timberlake’s comeback. As if we didn’t already know he was brilliant, this music video certified it.

2. Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith's “Amazing”

As if! Silverstone shed her good girl image in this video. The band also has a thing for using stars such as Mila Kunis in “Jaded,” Silverstone (again) in “Cryin,’” and Steve Tyler’s own daughter, Liv Tyler, in “Crazy.”

3. Shia LaBeouf in Sigur Ros’ “Fjögur Píanó”

The former “Even Stevens” child star went nude before Miley even thought about it in this deranged video.

4. Jeffrey Tambor in Ray Parker’s “Ghostbusters”

“Hey, it’s George Bluth!” Before the actor was apart of everyone’s favorite dysfunctional family, Tambor made a cameo in one of the most iconic 80s songs.

5. RuPaul in B-52’s “Love Shack”

Everyone’s favorite drag queen makes an appearance in another staple 80s song.

6. Chris Pine in the Ivy Walls’ “All I Want”

The handsome actor plays a bad boy in this indie music video. The already stunning cinematography is made all the more lovely with his presence.

7. Kelly Preston in Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved”

This beauty queen was certainly not 18. Preston plays the “Mrs. Robinson,” seducing Adam Levine in this 2004 video.

8. Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lil Jon, and Daft Punk in Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up the Gun”

There are plenty of celebs that make an appearance in this one-- and show us how to play tennis.

9. Kate Moss in The White Stripes’ “I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself”

That isn’t just a regular stripper-- that’s Kate Moss! The stoic model appeared in this video directed Sofia Coppola

10. Zach Galifiankis in Fiona Apple’s “Not About Love”

Did you know Galifiankis had the voice as sweet as an angel? We sure didn’t. Kuddos to him for the dance moves as well. As per usual, this is nothing short of brilliant for him.

11. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Will Forte, and Ed Helms in Mumford and Sons’ “Hopeless Wanderer"

It might take you a minute or so to realize these men are not actually Mumford and Sons because they pull off this parody so perfectly.

12. Jennifer Love Hewitt in Enrique Iglesias’s “Hero”

Who can forget the intimate bed scene with all the money? Iglesias (pre-mole removal) had to cast a perfect companion for this video, since it was making girls soon everywhere in 2001 (and selling out venues). Hewitt was actually relevant back then and so (since this part requires no dialogue) this works. But wait! Hewitt didn’t stop there. Like Iglesias, LFO also “fell for the girl on TV.”

13. Matt Dallas in Katy Perry’s “Thinking of You”

The “Kyle XY” star played Perry’s loving soldier in this rather depressing video.
