Every awards season, celebrities try their hardest to bring their best to the red carpet. However, not all of them succeed. Here, we round off the worst of the Emmys 2013 red carpet.

Though this Honor gown was custom-made for the 'Girls' actress, it failed to accurately accentuate her figure. The bustier top and inward-cut arms flatten her bust, while the heavy fabric thickens her slim waist. The ballooning bottom-half, combined with the maxi length do her no justice. The colors are beautiful, however, the pattern is a bit headache-inducing. Plus, she does not look comfortable on the red carpet

The 'Parks and Recreation' star has too much going on with this gothic-inspired ensemble. The Marios Schwab dress completely overwhelms her. Vertical stripes at the arm pits invoke a schoolboy's backpack. The lace pattern, floral adornments, and high-neckline are reminiscent of Morticia Adams.

The 'Game of Thrones' actress exuded heaps of confidence in this black, lacy gown but the white heels throw off the look. Had she chosen a sleek nude or a pop of red, this look would have been successful.

The turquiose shade of the 'Mad Men' star's Oscar de la Renta is gorgeous. Still, the shape is all wrong. The bow at the bust and strapless cut are perfect for a fifteen-year-old girl. The skirt and fabric are thick, hide her toned lower body, and look too matronly on the 32-year-old actress.

We always advocate that stars be comfortable, and look confident on the red carpet. Lily Rabe, however, went a bit too far. The draping of this dress creates the impression that the 'American Horror Story' actress stepped onto the red carpet in her bedsheets.

Vintage clothing and pieces borrowed from grandma are all a part of the indie vibe of Brooklyn. Still, this floral Prada gown on the 'Girls' creator and star went a little too far into the second-hand territory, being reminiscent of grandma's curtains.

Hough is so beautiful, yet this mermaid-inspired Jenny Packham gown is not. The revealing neckline and sheer skirt highlight all of the wrong places, and do nothing to flatter her toned body.
